Flat Belts

Flat belts are designed for light-duty power transmission and high-performance conveying. They are best-suited for applications with smaller pulleys and large central distances. Flat belts can connect inside and outside pulleys and can come in both endless and jointed construction. Modern flat belts are made of reinforced rubber, which provides strength and high friction levels with the pulley. Polyamide, polyester, elastomer, thermoplastic polyurethane, PVC, leather, aramid, natural rubber and some special fabrics are used in the production of flat belts.

Pulley alignment is important for flat belts. Proper alignment on flat belts extends belt life. Different flat belt surface patterns meet various transmission requirements.
